Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) Android App Make Searching Favorite Content Easier

If you are a Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) subscriber, you might not have enjoyed your searching experience until now but that is about to change. The online subscriber company has introduced visual search in its Android application making search for favorite shows bliss.

Earlier, users had to scroll through long lists of search results with small thumbnails and plenty of text being the primary part of the results. However, the recent update from the company highlights only pictures of the searched title and relevant shows and movie material on the screen. This new feature is likely to change the online search for content into a much better experience. Users can find out all the movies and shows available on the network.

For iOS users, Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX)’s new visual search allows to look for actors, directors, and creators easily. For an instance, users can type an actor’s name and find out everything that Netflix has involving that particular actor. The search update is available for android and iOS among other major streaming devices.

Earlier, Netflix launched its online video streaming services in different European countries starting with France and Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg to follow the list. However, the transition has not been smooth as the online video streaming giant is facing opposition from cultural leaders, politicians, and its potential broadcast partners in the country. According to the current French laws, as much as 40% of the television programming and radio should be in French and the introduction of Netflix in the country poses a big threat to both the cultural television shows as well as the local cable TV broadcasters.

Netflix is likely to revolutionize the way cinema is available in France and the opposition leaders claim that the company would destabilize the current system formed by the government and broadcasters to safeguard the French industry. On the contrary, Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is aware of the efforts it has put in the country and France is one of the important international markets for the company to expand its global business.
