EOG Resources Inc (NYSE:EOG), Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI), Dow Chemical Co (NYSE:DOW) were the top three stock picks of Jim Cramer in basic material category and he mentioned each of these companies at least twice in the last 30 days.
EOG Resources Inc (NYSE:EOG) was in Cramer’s bullish list in Mad Money show and he added that the company made money with the falling oil prices. While talking about other oil stocks, Cramer said,
“Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and Pioneer Natural showed little to no growth at all. But EOG Resources? It raised production and showed you that oil could keep plummeting and the company will make fortunes. EOG has the best properties but, arguably, also the best management in the industry.”
Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI) was in Jim Cramer’s action alert picks’ list despite of the struggling streaks it has posted for the year. While talking about Buckeye Partners (BPL), Cramer said, “This was an excellent quarter, but I’m still going to say Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI) over BPL.” Kinder Morgan Inc (NYSE:KMI) trades at $38.75 with 7.64% year-to-date growth and it has a current market cap of $39.84 billion.
Cramer mentioned Dow Chemical Co (NYSE:DOW) twice in the last 30 days and it is in Cramer’s Action Alert PLUS portfolio. After the drop in oil prices, Cramer said that he would stick with winner including Dow Chemical Co (NYSE:DOW). While talking about the stock, Cramer called its recent quarter good adding, “This is a pretty good quarter. Costs are way down, revenues are way up and margins are terrific.” He mentioned the excellent business the company enjoys in Latin America. Dow Chemical Co (NYSE:DOW) trades at $49.50 per share with current market capitalization of $58.34 billion. The company has reported 11.49% share price growth year-to-date.
