Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) unveiled a new lineup of Kindle devices with a premium Kindle Voyage offered by the company. The online-retailer introduced six new devices with the highest price tag of $199 for Kindle Voyage.
In addition to it, users can enjoy an advanced experience with the basic Kindle e-reader, which comes with a touch screen and is likely to cost $79. The complete lineup includes Kindle Fire HD Tablet for $99 and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) introduced some new upgrades in the Fire tablets, 7-inch and 8.9-inch.
Kindle Voyage is branded as the most advanced Kindle reader manufactured by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). Jeff Bezos, CEO and founder of Amazon.com, said, “Kindle Voyage is the next big step in this mission. With the thinnest design, highest resolution and highest contrast display, reimagined page turns, and all of the features that readers love about Kindle—books in seconds, no eyestrain or glare, readability in bright sunlight, and battery life measured in weeks, not hours—Kindle Voyage is crafted from the ground up for readers.”
Kindle Voyage weighs less than 6.4 ounces and it is 7.6 mm thin offering an extraordinary display with 300 pixels per inch. It is 39% brighter than the available Kindle devices and it comes with free 3G connection that works in over 100 countries.
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has come up with a complete range of new devices including Kindle range, set-top box, Fire Smartphone, and a grocery ordering wand. The company has been trying to capitalize over the existing users and it is relying heavily on content with a deal in progress with HBO to broadcast shows such as “The Wire” and “The Sopranos” on Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s high-end devices.
