“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.”

It looks like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has done something similar recently. The iPhone maker was criticized about the bending issues of its iPhone 6 Plus device and now the company has secured patent for flexible phones. Could there be any better way to get back to the criticizers?
The recent patent filing from the iPad maker has shown its interest in flexible materials for phones and the patent was secured for a “flexible electronic device.” Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is said to flaunt with the concept of “electronic devices with flexible display.” This is not the first time when the iPhone maker has indulged in such affairs; the company has tried it earlier in 2011. If successful, a flexible screen could storm the wearable device and large-screen smartphone market in future.
According to the reports, the company secured patent for a device that could be bent, flexed, folded, and even deformed without putting the internal components at risk. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is not just going after flexible external screen and casing but the company is looking into pliable inner components such as circuit boards, batteries, displays, and associated components.
Earlier, after an extraordinary launch weekend with 10 million iPhone sales record, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is still struggling to keep up with the increasing demand of its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices. The company was able to provide “within 24 hours” delivery of its iPhone devices three months after the launch of iPhone 5 in 2013 but the same is not true for iPhone6. Some versions of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus still have a shipping period of four to five days. In addition to it, nearly 22% of the 80 retail stores under monitoring by Piper Jaffray didn’t had all the available models of iPhone 6 during the second half of December.
