Williams Companies, Inc. (WMB), CBS Corporation (CBS), Groupon Inc (GRPN): New Picks of Tyrus Capital

Tyrus Capital has investments worth 49 million in Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE:WMB) with 849,931 shares. Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE:WMB) reported net cash distributions of $509 million from Williams Partners and Access Midstream Partners for the second quarter 2014 with adjusted income of $158 million. Corvex Capital has the largest investment in Williams Companies, Inc. (NYSE:WMB) at $2.4 billion with 41,682,960 shares followed by Soroban Capital Partners ($1.2 billion) and Steadfast Capital Management ($451 million).

CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) is another new addition in Tyrus Capital’s portfolio with investments worth $48 million and 777,000 shares. CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) announced diluted EPS of $0.76 for the second quarter 2014 along with 25% increase in its quarterly dividend. Pentwater Capital Management is the biggest investor in CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) with investments worth over $1 billion followed by Soroban Capital Partners ($518 million) and Point State Capital ($503 million).

Tyrus Capital has a stake of $45 million in Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) and owns 6,945,000 shares of the company. Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) generated revenue of $751.6 million for the second quarter with GAAP loss per share of $0.03. Jana partners is the biggest investor in Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) with investments worth $311 million and 46,987,935 shares. Tyrus Capital is its second largest investor followed by Altimeter Capital Management having investments worth $41 million in the company.
