Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has discovered a software bug in the much acclaimed Apple HealthKit and it might delay the launch of iOS 8. HealthKit is one of the most promising features of iOS 8, especially in terms of its utility in Apple Watch.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s spokeswoman, Trudy Muller, said,
“We discovered a bug that prevents us from making HealthKit apps available on iOS 8. We’re working quickly to have the bug fixed in a software update and have HealthKit apps available by the end of the month.”
The software tool will be available next month and the company removed it from new iOS 8 release.
HealthKit is one of the premium additions to iOS 8 and it will offer a dashboard view of user’s health and fitness data. The dashboard will have multiple tabs accounting for heart rate, blood sugar, calories burned, and cholesterol; hence, giving a complete outlook of the user’s health. Further, users can create an emergency health card containing important medical information and it is visible from a locked screen. On top of these features, the best feature is the ability to share your fitness data with your doctor or nutritionist at your will.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), is paying special attention towards iPad tablets as the company had witnessed a decline in tablet sales in the last two quarters.
Earlier, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) broke the record for pre-order sales with 4 million orders within first 24 hours of sale opening. There are speculations that iPhone 6 might top the chart of the bestselling iPhones.
