Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is back with its innovation cap and the company launched universal mobile keyboard that works with Windows, iOS, and Android without using any dongles. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has set a price of $79.99 for the keyboard and users can start purchasing it in October.
One of the best things about the universal mobile keyboard is that it doesn’t require any proprietary dongles and it connects with Bluetooth to any device with Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) profile. One can use it with Windows tablet or connect it with iPhone or even Android devices. On top of these features, the keyboard has a Home-kind of button that will redirect user to the Start menu or home screen of the respective operating system.
Universal Mobile Keyboard is designed for portability and it has a built-in stand to hold the device along with a protective cover. You can turn off the keyboard simply by closing the cover and it has a rechargeable battery that last for six month per charge.
The most important thing to take from here is the fact that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is seriously considering cross-platform concept and it is likely to see more devices with a similar approach in future.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is planning to launch Windows 9 later this month and the company will offer Windows Technical preview of its latest installment of Windows. Windows 8 was unable to impress the corporate consumer segment of Microsoft and this version is likely to change that. It will incorporate better features for cloud integration and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is likely to get the Start button back in this version along with a user-friendly desktop design.
