Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) might launch its much awaited iWatch along with iPhone 6 against the earlier media speculations. According to the latest updates, Apple might unveil its wearable watch- iWatch- along with the two different versions of iPhone 6 on September 9, 2014.
Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) stocks rose up to $102.13 with a 1.23% change after the news of early release of iWatch. Earlier the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, promised that the company will launch a series of new product categories this year and iWatch is a part of that only. It will be the biggest product launch since 2010 when the company introduced iPad.
iWatch will have two of the latest features announced by Apple earlier this year, HealthKit and HomeKit. HealthKit is an exciting feature that allows user to monitor vital bio signs and comes with a fitness API. It is expected that the device would feature several health-oriented sensors to keep track of the vitals including steps taken, heart rate, sleep quality, calories burned, and similar options. On the contrary, HomeKit is designed to communicate with connected accessories within the user’s home. It might work with Apple TV and other similar devices in the house.
In addition to the iWatch, Apple is planning for a new thinner MacBook towards the end of 2014 or early 2015. The laptop will come with retina feature and it is said to have a quieter design without any fan. The company is planning to use Intel Corporation’s (NASDAQ:INTC) Broadwell chips for this laptop. MacBook is one of the primary offerings from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and the company sold 4.41 million Mac computers between April to June 2014.
