A lot of rumors have been doing rounds about the release of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad Pro, or iPad 6 Plus, and the iPad Air. It’s expected that the new iPads will be released alongside OSX Yosemite and probably iMacs. Recode, which has had a track record or giving out accurate dates and confirming rumors about Apple events and product releases, has said that the Cupertino, California-based company will be releasing the products on October 16.
No invitations have been sent out to the media or tech personalities just yet, but it’s still within the company’s timeframe, as they normally send such invitations within 10 days to the event.
The release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was an event that was hyped and organized to crown the two products as the greatest activities by the company this year. The October 16th event, formerly rumored to be October 21st, isn’t such a fully blown out event. It’s expected to be somewhat layback and held at the company’s Town Hall Auditorium. It isn’t expected to bring in as many people as the iPhone 6s launch since only a few people are expected to be invited.
Both the iPads are expected to bring with them better processors and support for the Touch ID, a fingerprint sensor that the company introduced with the iPhone 5 S in 2013. Sources also indicate that the iPad Air could introduce a gold color variation.
The iMacs, the rumored desktops, are said to be currently undergoing testing. The desktop is reported to possess an ultra high-resolution Retina display with 5k resolution of 5120 x 2880, better Wi-Fi connectivity, and faster performance from improved processors, RAM, and more. The Retina display technology hasn’t been on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) computers, but on the company’s mobile devices and MacBook.
The Yosemite is expected to be released soon after the event, that’s if the company follows its previous products launching patterns. There hasn’t been much of information released about the OS, though the software, which is nearing completion was earlier this week seeded to developers for testing purposes.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is said to be releasing the products to provide users with a wide array of the company’s products as they delve into the holiday shopping. Even though the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to be the biggest things to happen to the tech company this year, the company doesn’t want to disappoint users who prefer the other devices.
